Corrine A. Foster, The Executive Director of Friends of Marcy Houses, energetic and goal oriented professional with extensive leadership experience in children and family services; with a proven track record of positively impacting the lives of disenfranchised individuals whether it be this formerly incarcerated, survivors of domestic violence, those living in poverty or suffering mental illness. Corrine, serves on the Advisory Board at Metropolitan College of New York where she received her Masters in Public Administrations and Affairs. As a passionate and innovative leader, experienced project manager, strategic planner and seasoned community facilitator she’s an expert at building stakeholder relations! Corrine has developed the ability to create an atmosphere where everybody feels welcomed, loved, appreciated and understood. A mother of 6 children, she spends long hours working, networking, writing policies and procedures to ensure the organizations she has developed will thrive.
Faced with her own personal experience with domestic violence, poverty and homelessness, Corrine decided overcome those challenges through education, self help, becoming a public speaker and advocacy for others. Ultimately her goal is building a strong foundation for what shall be a beacon in the Brooklyn community, Friends of Marcy Houses.
